Yolo Federal was born when a group of local County Sheriff Department employees banded together to help their colleagues buy the equipment they needed for work.
We were chartered and officially organized as a federal credit union under our original name “Yolo County Employees Federal Credit Union."

Our field of membership was expanded to include the City of Woodland and the City of Davis.
1984
November 7
Our name was changed from Yolo County Employees Federal Credit Union to Yolo Federal Credit Union.

January 4
Yolo Federal's field of membership was expanded to include the counties of Sacramento, Placer, and El Dorado.
